With a music career spanning almost 40 years, Chuck Wentworth has seen it all. In 1981, he volunteered at the Cajun & Bluegrass Festival in Rhode Island, changing his life forever. Within a few years, he was co-producer of the festival. Wentworth eventually began his own company, Lagniappe Productions, and took ownership of the event, rebranding it the Rhythm & Roots Festival in 1998. Heading into its 37th year, attending the festival has become a tradition for roots music lovers from across North America.
